I am the only bridge teacher in my area.  How can I keep my skills current and "remain in the loop?"  Being an ABTA member will allow you many more opportunities (our online chat, for instance) to meet and compare notes with other teachers.  It's always great to learn new ideas, fresh jokes and anecdotes to share with your class.  Receiving your Quarterly four times a year will also provide you with new material and ideas.

My students say that I'm a great teacher.  I don't need any help.  Thanks anyway.   Reeeeallly?  Things change -- that's life.  But a teacher needs to learn to change with the times, to keep up to date on new technology, new materials, etc.  How would you like it if your house had no indoor plumbing?  (cough)  Also, would you have an operation from an unlicensed doctor?   Take your chances ....
