ABTA MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION


When you join ABTA, you join with one of the three following types of membership:

Associate Membership -  An associate membership shall be available to persons wishing to be associated with a professional bridge-teaching organization. This shall include, but is not limited to: inexperienced or aspiring teachers, individuals teaching without compensation, authors, and owners of bridge publishing companies.

Professional Membership - A professional member shall have a minimum of 100 hours of teaching teaching experience, with compensation.

Educational Foundation Sponsored Membership - To join with this one-year membership type, you must attend a qualifying teacher event and not have been an ABTA member previously. The qualified teacher events include attendance at the following types of teacher training events: ACBL Best Practices Workshop, an ACBL/ABTA Teacher Breakfast, Better Bridge Teacher Training, Learn Bridge in a Day Teacher Training, and Jump Start Teacher Training. When you join ABTA with an Educational Foundation Sponsored Membership, you will be asked to fill out a Profile. For the box labeled [Sponsor], add the name of the teacher training event you attended. The qualifying event will be verified by the event manager/instructor.

ABTA Annual Membership Dues (All fees below are in US dollars)

Dues for U.S. & all North American Members are in bold. Dues for Non-North American Members are in brackets. Only credit-cards are accepted for payment.

1 Year Associate or Professional Membership: $45 [$50].

1 Year Household Membership: $70 [$75]. A household membership is limited to 2 people.
3 Year Associate or Professional Membership: $120 [$135].
1 Year Educational Foundation Sponsored Membership: Free for individuals who attend a qualified teacher event and have not been a previous ABTA member.
